Very nice shot, fotoi. If you look at the rock, it appears to be shaped like an upside down heart.I wonder how it would look if you flipped your photo 180 degrees horizontally?

That's a great idea, I'll give it a try. Thanks.

I'm a huge vette fan, all my life, just sold my '64. They are becoming too similar to a Fararri look now for my liking.

My wife and I satisfied a "bucket list" item by owning a C6 from 2005-2013. Now that we are retired, it's not in the cards to ever own another Corvette. But I'm really looking forward to seeing a C8. When Hertz or someone else has them for rent, I'll definitely rent one for a day.

Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.

The Museum of Flight in Seattle has the Command Module from Apollo 11 on display. I was 15 when that first moon landing occurred, and I followed it very closely. The command module is on display for another week or so, and then it's headed back home to the Smithsonian.

This is Buzz Aldrin's visor and gloves used on his moon walk. If you look at the right edge of the photo, you'll see something that looks like a magnifying glass. That's explained in the next photo.

IMAGE: http://www.lj3.com/5d4/a11_1.jpg

It is a magnifying glass. It was used to show that Aldrin had a checklist printed on his glove to ensure that he executed all the expected tasks.

IMAGE: http://www.lj3.com/5d4/a11_2.jpg

This is the inside of the command module's hatch.

IMAGE: http://www.lj3.com/5d4/a11_3.jpg

Here's the command module itself. It's a little bigger than I imagined it to be, but still quite small for traveling almost a million miles.

IMAGE: http://www.lj3.com/5d4/a11_4.jpg

I took a shot through the totally dark window of the hatch, and I was surprised to see that there's still a lot of "stuff" in there.

We had puppies (German Shorthaired Pointers) about 4 months ago -- thought I'd share two from early in the litter -- the first when they were less than a day old, and then another showing some of their personalities about three weeks later (the later is with the mother and one of the puppies!) --
