Bill I've bought a couple FZ100 off the buy/sell at FredMiranda....folks leaving Sony and selling off. So far the used batteries
that route have been good. So maybe look there every now and then.

The big one will be 75-150 :)
And instead of a triumvirate it will be a fourvirate 17-28 28-75 75-150 150-600 :)

I would happily buy that lens then :D the 150-600 when eventually released will be an amazing option for everyone.

Very cool Travis. It looked like the sunset was going to be a fail but boy were we wrong.

yeah, it looked like it was going to do like it has many times before...fizzle out...and I was ok with that...this image is better than any other I have there...but then...well, we know what happened.

Is this with your new Sigma 105 f/1.4?

I'm not full time and even pushing away from many hired work lately. If I was into portrait work I'd definitely buy the GM135. There is still a difference in bokeh even when comparing it to a Sigma 105mm f/1.4. What I love about my 105mm is the working distance and very good AF speed. I prefer the AF speed of the 105mm vs GM85mm. Oddly I'm considering on buying the GM85mm due to smaller size and render.

i used to love the 135L when i was in Canon. I tried the Sigma 135 but when i photographed a family with small kids, it's hard to get the attention of the kids when we're far away. i think the 105mm is the perfect focal length for portrait in general.

My 85GM got sold for 1300. you should have bought it. :)

Thanks Jose. Really wasn't expecting anything other than practice before the trip. More import to not throw files away :)

I've been thinking about possibly doing a bit more wildlife shooting, I would have loved to have it in my recent trip to Portugal, simply because I can't justify the astronomical cost of some of the "big guns" but this particular lens caught my eye because it's way more affordable. I've been going over the images posted on Fred's site and some of them are really impressive and depending on what Sony announces in respect to the A9 replacement I might pick one up.

Not only the cost of the lens but the additional cost of the hoist needed ;)
