How do we get admin to add the 200-600 to the gear list?

Great shot!

Current situation is only Pekka can add gear and he has limited time.
In a future AMASS update the function will possibly be available to mods.

Thanks on both counts.

Thank you very much, Mike!

Very nice capture of the barn swallow, Mike! And with 80D! The low keeper rate of BIF shots from 80D was what prompted me to switch system

The 80D is not really the best camera for BIF, but It'll do OK, Shalu. It's a really light rig when I use my Canon 300 4.5-5.6 L. I'm a bit faster with it than with the heavier lenses. I got several dove in flight the same day I was shooting swallows.

Hah - what NASA automated radar-guided tracking system were you using for this shot Mike ;-)a, what an amazing capture. Love the clarity.:-)

Cheers

Dennis

Thank you very much, Dennis. I'm using a very sophisticated system, that I developed myself. I call it "hit and miss." I'm still working on it because I only have about a 1% success rate.:-(

Thank you very much, Sibil. My shutter speed of 1/5000 seemed to do the trick.

I am amazed you could get this at 300 mm well done.

Thank you very much davholla. Since my 80D has a crop factor of 1.6, my magnification is actually 1.6 X 300 = 480 mm. Any more magnification than that, and it becomes difficult to find fast moving birds in the viewfinder (at least for me).
