Dragonfly closeup, taken with the help of the Canon 500D closeup lens. Natural light.

I'm starting to get familiar and comfortable with the M4; at least I am for what I use it for. Hopefully as I go along I will get comfortable using it for more than just static shots of birds. I need to get myself to an area where there are lots of BIF's so I can get comfortable with those types of shots.

Stacked 5 shots to get some more detail on this one. Handheld, polaroid 250d fitted. :)

Nice shots!

BIF is an area where practice would certainly help... but how does one get such practice? There are not many places in my area where there are enough birds in flight to get good practice like that.

A couple of Wood Ducks that are hanging out on a pond near me. The good news is their plumage is getting more colorful by the day. The bad news is I fear they will head for warmer climes before they reach peak color.

They actually look like ducks made of wood with painted on features....nice capture!

Two from today in our yard, A male Red-bellied Woodpecker and a Black-capped Chickadee.

I used spot metering on both.

Still love this camera. I wore it out, so had to send it away for a little TLC from Sony, but its back and taking lovely photos again. :D

I'm looking to buy one in the next two months. Would love to know more about durability...
