I am pretty new to night sky photography. Are the colors (pinks and blues) natural or added. Tips on how to obtain photos like this would be greatly appreciated.

If it's "good" photography then yes the colors are there naturally but they usually require post processing to bring them out. That said it is possible to Photoshop colors that weren't there and there are many levels in between. It would help to know what kind of night sky photography you are interested in. Do you want to take nightscapes with a camera and lens or do astrophotography involving a telescope?

For now I need to use a camera and lens. I am in Montana so getting away from light pollution is easy. I currently have a Rebel 7T and a few lenses.

There's enough info on these sites to turn any newbie into an expert. Lots of free information although I highly recommend Alan Dyer's book as the single most complete reference in the field and geared for beginner through expert. Don't be intimidated, you can start easy and get decent results right away. Then the sky is the limit.

Sorry didn't see your post in time. I don't have any personal experience with shooting meteor showers though.
