nice macro Kenji. How do you like the 90? Ive seen nice portraits from it too.

I love mine. Very good little macro, easily the equal of the Canon L in terms of sharpness/color/bokeh/OSS performance

Thanks for all the info on the A7RIV vs A7RIII...last Sunday I went to the camera store to test drive the A&RIV with the 135 lens and liked to fast eye AF, super sharp compared to my A7R back focus single point on the eye , then recompose and range fandier LeicaM10.

I am also looking at to be announebced Tamron 70-180 mm E mount it looks like a small size good for travel,
Here is A7RIV 135 mm lshoot at F1.8 (Iconverted to DNG before LR6 processing)

Cancelled my preorder not in firstbacth shipped, there is frenzy of negative posts from those who received their units, bade noise even compared to10 year old noise Canon 7D
a sample rant "

I'll be the pessimist here and say that this release is very disappointing.

As someone who prints very large images, the bottleneck for large format imaging is noise. The higher the noise, the more difficult it is to enlarge a photo and apply sharpening. The A7R4's noise is clearly worse in both the DPR comparative and full resolution tests. The R3 has considerably less noise. What does this mean?

This means that the R3's files will likely be able to be pushed farther in upsizing and sharpening, resulting in very similar final results as the new A7R4. To really utilize the extra resolution of the R4, I would want to stack 4-16 images to reduce noise for proper upsizing and sharpening. After that you will really be able to tell the difference.

For single shots, a properly exposed A7R3 image will likely have the same potential end result as a file from the A7R4 simply because of how much farther the files can be pushed for up sizing and sharpening.

I will likely be canceling my order and may just buy a second R3. The only redeeming thing about the R4 is the superior weather sealing and better ergonomics. The OLED EVF has better blacks and detail, but this wont translate to a better image. Oh yeah and the red AF point. "

Cheers,
Tony
