Wonderful capture of this collard dove, Shalu. They have certainly become a nuisance here in California. There is no long any certain hunting season for them. Hunters are encouraged to shoot them 12 months of the year, since they are a non native, introduced bird. There is some worry that they will negatively affect our native mourning dove species.

Splendid shot, Paul. So neat the way the wing tips just clip the water. Beautifully photographed.

Thank you very much, Mike! I did not know these facts about the collard dove, thanks for the info.

Thank you Levina, I appreciate your comments !
I have exchanged lenses with friends and based on my experience I can say that, in focusing speed : 1. Tamron G2 2. Sigma Sport 3. Sigma C . Build quality : 1.Sport 2.C 3.G2. Concerning image quality the Sport (50% heavier than the others) is a bit better, but light and distance are more important.
For their price all three are good choices as long as you know their limits

Thank you very much for the information, Vassilis. Truly appreciated.

I'm a bloody goody two-shoes!
