Bittern running on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway this is an image from my 2014 archive.

Bittern is the sister to Mallard which allegedly is the fastest steam locomotive in the World!

Wow. Magnificent.

That's one fast steam train (Mallard).
Keep them coming

QUESTION
In my gallery I'd like to replace the photo of a steam train in Finland with an edited version. But it was one of my first postings, hosted by the POTN server as I hadn't yet learned to use SmugMug. Can I do it, and if so, how?

I don't know anything. But I know other things.

I've done same.
But I think you can only do it from the actual post, not gallery
Open your post. Edit
Then insert your new photo and delete offending one.
You'll be asked if you really want to remove photo. I'm not sure whether it gets deleted from gallery.
On other hand you could add the new photo and save, then re-edit and remove other.
At least you'd see what's going on.

Thanks, A-1-dale. But it didn't let me delete just the old photo. So I deleted the post and will now repost with the edited photo.

Wood-burning steam locomotive pulls a train out of Jyväskylä, Finland in 1951. I took this photo with my first camera, a Kodak Brownie II and digitized it from film with Epson V600 scanner.

That image is quite impressive! Composition, light, tones, the smoke especially. Glad you saved and shared this!

Thanks! Beginner's luck. And thanks to the Great Yellow Father. I wish I had saved that Brownie, but what does a 14-year old kid know.
