The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

I remember reading about the Corvettes going down the sinkhole over here in the UK. I love Corvettes, it just a shame we don't get many over here

It was a big deal over here. At one point they were going to leave it there so people could see it. It was massive. It ate 8 cars. They restored a couple but left the rest on display. Unfortunately, it was too expensive for them to stabilize it so they filled it in with cement but left a hole that you could look down to see how deep it was. It goes about 60' down. They said there was a massive cave down there but we live on a cave system so they are all over the place. We get sink holes all the time. The car that was totally destroyed was the last one they pulled out. It took them over a year to find it where it was buried so deep.

Yes, there was at least one that was worth 750,000 and there was another one that was on loan that was a collector. Not sure how much the others were worth. They said that the total value lost was 8 million but some people are still arguing that point.

Thanks, it was from the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. Not sure what the years were.

Not sure of the year, but all '53 Vettes came in one color, Polo White.

Here's your 53 Polo white. It looked more of an off white or yellowed through time.

Got the car all shined up today...it was pretty dirty. Went out to take some photos...it got dark too fast and my original spot was not an option anymore.

Nice shot, really like the reflection. Was it added in the edit or did you achieve that with lighting?

Reflection is the late evening sky. Really good wax and a little detail spray makes it shine and reflect at the right angles to show the lines of the car.
