I like cicadas, too. I also love their song. To be honest, I find the sounds of all creatures wonderful. I especially love to hear crickets and frogs at night, just about the most restful soundtrack possible.

Went to the Amarillo area of Texas several years ago and expected to find an insect wasteland but was surprised to see quite a few bugs, including a bunch of cicadas. Here are a couple of then. Wow, those are great! And that cicada has some really interesting colors! The ones around here are usually very drab, I was lucky to find the one I did not too long after is emerged so it still had some good color Flickr stream: https://flic.kr/ps/se6hB

Sep 19, 2019 01:44 | #2553 Found a green lacewing milling about. The 90D has had a lot of subjects lately, certainly more than my normal mid-week! Flickr stream: https://flic.kr/ps/se6hB

Sep 19, 2019 01:47 | #2554 Took this shot with the 5Ds rather than the 90D. Came out pretty good, but I think the 90D is a bit better suited to these kinds of shots Flickr stream: https://flic.kr/ps/se6hB

Thanks! I've been getting very lucky the past few days with subjects to shoot, but I'm really trying to find another jumping spider... Flickr stream: https://flic.kr/ps/se6hB

Can we get extra effective magnification by cropping the 32.5 mb images? The crop-ability is really good with the large file size, much better than the 7D2. If needed, I can crop in quite a bit more and still retain good detail. At this point I really haven't needed to, but I've played around with it in LightRoom just to get an idea of how far I can go before I'm not satisfied with the IQ anymore. I've grabbed a couple pics of one a few months ago, but I wasn't really happy with how they turned out, I was very happy with these so far! Flickr stream: https://flic.kr/ps/se6hB
