No wonder it broke. Imagine a train trying to cut across an old field!

There is an old spur there that is not maintained, they took it out in the last year. I was driving by and noticed it and immediately pulled off the road to shoot it. I had never seen a train there before, that may be why

Love the sepia treatment on this one, not overly done IMHO. You might want to clone or crop out the modern bus in the background though. Kinda ruins the effect.

Amtrak NPCU (Non-Powered Cab Unit) number 90278 leads the way into the Irvine, CA station on a northbound Surfliner. NPCU 90278 was made from a former F40PH locomotive. The engine has been removed and the roll-up door on the side is so the former engine space can be used for cargo.

The pride of the Heritage fleet 3801 recreating the record setting Newcastle Flyer leaving Gosford heading on the Short North Down Main.
The record set in 1964 still stands at 2 Hours 1 Minute and 57 Seconds for the 167 kilometres from Central to Newcastle Terminal.

These pictures of the Carajás Mine ore train in Brazil aren't good, but they're the best I got shooting from the truck I was getting a ride in, so I thought I'd show them anyway.

That first shot. I really like! it has a 1970's pocket film camera look to it. Reminds me of pics my Dad and I would get back then, when my rail fanning began.

Out playing with the new 7R4. The level of detail on the original 61MP RAW is insane (This is not nor will it be my normal railfanning camera, just had the opportunity today).
