Exquisite. Are these common?

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Thanks Pippan
They were there (Narawntapu National Park)
Certainly didn't have to go looking for them. More like being careful where you trod.

Some Australian native flowers but I'm really clueless what they are. All I know is that the second one is a banksia.
if anybody can identify the first one, I'd be very happy. Thanks.

More Australian flowers. My suspicion is that the purple one is an orchid of sorts but I might be wrong.

Renata can't answer all, but
I'm pretty sure there's a couple of weeds in that, sorry. If I'm right.
No 1: Looks like a Protea (South African)? but we do have native (not protea) that looks similar
No 2: Banksia integrifolia - suspect it's that as common to east coast. Definitely a banksia
No 3: spurge euphorbia? Sea spurge Invasive pest, not native. Suspect that's what it is. Was it on the coast?
No 4: ??
Not much help. 1 out of 4 ??
Pippan might fly by and throw his weight into this.

I'm not that heavy am I? I think you're right about 1 & 2 and Renata about 4 (i.e. an orchid of some sort) but they're out of my jurisdiction. :)

Richard, weeds? No worries at all. They're still flowers to me :)
Thanks for identifying some.
#3 was shot in Melbourne
#4 was shot in Cairns

I'm hoping that Pippan will chime in and if he doesn't it's not a big deal :)

Still, thank you kindly for your input.

Don't really know, to be honest but with all those carzy activities around Litchfield etc. I don't think you are. But just in case, tread lightly on my flowers, please; don't want them smashed :p

Not many flowers around at the moment after all the fires we've had in the last few weeks. Just hanging' out for some rain now.

I hope the monsoon season is just around the corner for you. We've been sitting on some brutal temperatures her in this concrete jungle of Dallas...getting tired of it, 35+ C or high 90's in F is exhausting. Hope you get some rain and flowers popping out soon.

Thanks Renata, living in a hot place in a warming climate is probably not the smartest move. I might have to join Richard in Tassie soon!

Cocky Apple, Planchonia careya. Local people say when its stamens start dropping in numbers, the rains are imminent. I'm looking forward to it.
