It's like the time. Ask someone what time it is and you will know what time it is. But ask two people what time it is, and you won't know what time it is.

Archi...The pronunciation can vary in different countries and probably even in different regions of the same country. It's kind of like potato, tomato. Those two words are both pronounced differently in our own country.
As far as the time problem is concerned; simply ask 3 different people what time it is, and then use you cell phone calculator to add these up, and divide by three. It work pretty well.

This is a stunning shot of the VFC. Very impressed with the detail since the red oft times runs together and is brassy looking. Very nice!

Lol, neither did I. Good camouflage!

The Chiffchaff's and blackcaps are starting their Migration to Europe now but there are still a few around for a short while. Sorry to see these beautiful birds go but the UK will start to see an influx of Redwings and fieldfares and hopefully Waxwings soon.

"There are two species of passerine birds commonly called chough (/tʃʌf/ CHUF) that constitute the genus Pyrrhocorax of the Corvidae (crow) family of birds. These are the red-billed chough (Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax), and the Alpine chough (or yellow-billed chough) (Pyrrhocorax graculus). The white-winged chough of Australia, despite its name, is not a true chough but rather a member of the family Corcoracidae and only distantly related."

We have red-billed chough relatively local to me but yellow-billed are southern European/Asian birds. I've never got any decent shots of chough so I'm going to have to remedy that sometime soon!
