Focus was the primary issue that I needed to work on. All the shots were just not quite there. Of course even though I took it off auto focus it got bumped just a bit off focus and I didn't realize until I was processing them.

The white beam of light is actually zodiacal light from the setting sun interacting with ice crystals (I believe). The city glow is a bit lower and mostly hidden. It was about 200 kilometers away. I think there's some showing towards the left of the rock. It does look pretty cool though

It's easy to just move the MF ring a bit and then it's all mushy.
