SeattleSpeedster, you are killing it with all your recent landscape shots. Very impressive work.

Thanks :) I took a friend of mine with me for a quick Canadian Rockies tour who had never been up there. He was speechless at the scenery. We did some tent camping and hotels in between

I love these so much!!! The same landscape has been taken for millions of times but by including people (and better, photographers) in the scene they look so much more lively.

And you own Eye of Sauron???

You certainly got a nice set of shots on your trip. How do you find working with the Fuji files? The GFX50 is CMOS and not Xtrans isn't that correct?

Yes about the sensor. I was mostly shooting three shot brackets and using the darker and middle ones. Working with the colors is pretty straightforward. WB is mostly As Shot but sometimes warmed up a bit.

'scuse me while I go over to Amazon to get another 8TB backup drive (yes those fuji 120 meg RAW files add up)

Sunrise around Lake Louise...

Funny story: There were about 400 of us set up around the lake for sunrise and these two hipsters roll out of their sprinter van with a large blue kayak and proceed to paddle in circles screwing up the reflection. Lots of murmuring from the crowd of course. Finally one British guy says, "OY! You two! Bugger off!" to cheers from the onlookers and the paddlers paddle away. They didn't come ashore that I could see and were probably afraid to.

400 people: 398 angry saying nothing, 1-2 people say something. Sad sad sad state of manhood these days.

Nice shots, I could do BOOKS on this topic but now when you speak any truth, weak people jump all over you.

Millenials are funny: they lack contentiousness for others, YET, they want everyone to be contentious and empathetic towards their needs.
