This little jumping spider was, well jumping, around on a blue thistle. Didn't mind at all that I took a quite a few pictures!

I liked these because they are angles I don't normally capture on jumping spiders. I always go for the eyes

Looking at those jumping spider shots makes me wonder why you're not still using the 7D2.

5D3, 7D2, EF 16-35 f/2.8L, EF 24-70 f/2.8L II, EF 24-105 f/4L, EF 70-200 f/2.8L II, EF 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L II, EF 1.4x III, Sigma 150mm macro, Lumix LX100 plus a cupboard full of bags, tripods, flashes & stuff.

It was not an easy decision to replace the 7D2, it did most everything I wanted very well. But, so far the 90D has been a worthy upgrade...of course it hasn't even been a week of using it yet!

Im hoping I can start expanding out a bit more and some of the features of the 90D would help.

I am still waiting to find a jumping spider to shoot with the 90D, that will speak volumes to me! ߘ

I went for a short walk up the hill and discovered there are hundreds (if not thousands) of spider webs every square km. This one was horizontal, suspended between stalks of heather over a burn (small stream). It was just at the right angle to catch the sunlight.

Indeed! I tried to keep my distance because I could tell she was getting agitated. I was able to get a couple pics of the babies on her back, and one that fell (jumped?) off...tiny is an understatement. The legs on the babies are still a have a rainbow-hue and translucent.
