I have an issue with my 7D2.. when I turn the top dial, I will have to go through 2-3 'clicks' of the dial before a setting will change. With my old 7D, that NEVER happened... each "click" of the wheel changed a setting in the menu or the top LCD screen by one step.

Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone ever sent their camera body in for repair?

Otherwise, that camera works perfectly fine.

Sounds like it may be worn out.

I had this with my old 40D. I sent it off to one of the authorised Canon repair centres here in the UK and they replaced it (in fact I think a whole unit was involved) under their set repair fee.

While it's true that many people have reported similar problems to yours over the years, in general the majority of users don't seem to have a problem as significant as yours. That leads me to believe there are other contributing factors to your problem.

Yes, I had mine done last year at the Canon New Jersey service center. I think the final cost was close to $250 USD

Yep, had that with my 7D2. It started as an occasional hiccup, then got worse and worse. Had to send it to Canon to get it fixed (out of warranty).
