This little dove is nesting at my back door with eggs very hard to get a clear shot as she is in the middle of a large bush and I don't want to disturb her

I actually saw it make the attack from a distance. I could tell there was a terrible struggle, but didn’t know what it had latched onto. Nor didn’t want to interfere. - But , I kept seeing a struggling from time to time and something didn’t seem right. Short version is I checked and found it on what may have been the loosing end of a Bull snake fight. After taking a photo:) I helped it off its back. From there it seemed to be able to correct its mistake. Lol
Hard to tell from photo, but the snake had likely mortal talon wounds but had the hawk wrapped up so badly that I was afraid both would lose. Especially if something else found them like this.
