While out checking on the Great-horned owlet, that hatched this spring on my farm, I stumbled across it on the ground. It was just as surprised as I was. Snapped a quick shot and backed off to leave it in peace. The owlet was able to get back to the safety of the trees and successfully fledged a few days later.
