Canon announced that they have produced 100 million EOS cameras since 1987. You can read about it here:

https://www.canonrumors.com …rchangeable-lens-cameras/ (external link)

How many of those were yours?

I can claim eight:

1) 100/Elan
2) 20D
3) T2i/550D
4) 70D
5) 100 again
6) 7D
7) 7D Mark II
8) M5

I bought three of those used (5, 6, and 7), so I suppose I can really only take credit for five from the factory.

Mike

Canon EOS R7, M5, 100 (film), and Sony α6400
I have an orange cat and a brown cat. In HSL, they're both orange.

I'll play. I had to look up the list of names in Wiki as I don't remember all of the old ones but I believe the ELAN was my first EOS camera. I had the A-1 before that one. So,
ELAN
ELAN7 (I think. It had eye control focus)
first digital 300d Rebel. Then went on a buy/sell cycle pretty much every 8 months. Worked out well as I would sell just before now model came out and then buy the new model. Upgrade was generally less that $100 out of pocket. So,
300d
350d
400d
5D <- loved this camera
40d <- absolutely hated this camera. It plain sucked a$$
50d <- restored my faith in Canon
5dII
7d <- still have this one. Freaking tank.
5DIV <- probably my last one. This is the camera I was always looking for. Just about perfect in every way.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

But it is nice to know that Canon would not have reached the 100 million without my help :-)

I’m a slacker, only three but love them all, including the film Elan IIe!

Elan IIe
60D
80D

I’d love to see a breakdown based on some key models in the DSLR lineup. Say an early example from the Rebel series, perhaps the 60D, a 5D maybe II and one of the 7D series. The 60D in particular interests me, I wonder if it sold over a million units?
