We moved to WI a few years ago and I've noticed that they have a lot of sunflower fields around here, so perfect opportunity to take advantage and get some shots of my daughter who just turned 16. I had a vision in my mind and she wasn't sure if she'd like it, but the photos turned out just as I hoped. There wasn't much prep for this session and little time as the sun went down behind the hill, but glad we just got out and DID IT. Sometimes that's the hardest part of being a photographer who is also a mother; it's so easy to just keep putting off your own kids' photos thinking you can get to them any day, but so often those days are missed.
