I'm not really a snake person, but this guy was laying across the road at the Sacramento NWR yesterday soaking up the sun, and I sure wasn't going to drive over him. I believe it's a gopher snake.

Did someone say Riv moonshot? :-)
Using the 100-400+1.4 It was shot in crop mode, but that doesn't really matter as I further cropped it to a 1980pix square. I did not realize I had bumped the aperture to f10 until I noticed it in lightroom

Love the atmosphere and angle on this one, nice!

So I wrapped up last night with just shy of 9K frames in 2 days...most of it yesterday, and most of it trying for really low percentage images...the benefit of shooting only for myself...so despite being exhausted, sore and sleepy...the culling process starts now...and I think I am gonna pick up an A7III when I get the funds...10 FPS mechanical shutter was really nice, anti flicker...really a nice little piece of kit for the price, would be a suitable backup to the a9 and shares parts with it...I do miss the extra control knob on the a9 and the lock button on the right side knob, but those things can be overcome.

One of the whip pans I tried this weekend...one of the places I wanted to shoot them wasn't a good spot anymore...

Anyway...its way more fine/abstract art than it is motorsports photography but I really like the look of it.

Morning in Bear Camp, Lake Clark National Park.
About an hour and 10 min flight from Sterling.
The white fence you see is 3 strands of electrified wire.

Using the Tam 17-28.
3 shot bracket hand held.
Merged in RayaPro

Thanks.
I normally dont like the abstract shot, but this has something about it.

Here is another one, with the 200-600mm and its through a chain link fence as well.
