My camera shop has one for 499 euro and I keep telling myself that it’s nuts, that it’s an old, outdated camera but I’m still tempted. My camera shop has one for 499 euro and I keep telling myself that it’s nuts, that it’s an old, outdated camera but I’m still tempted. I bought mine for $485 USD, with approx 30k actuations. I really like the 1D series; I have several of the 1D models (1Ds, 1D Mark III, 1D Mark IV, and now this 1Ds Mark III). Love the color rendition on it.. very similar to the 1D Mark III. The resolution is great, handling is superb. Battery life is exceptional, and starting with the 1D III series, they now use the far better Li-Ion batteries.

Started with a1DIIN, a few years later moved to a 1DIII and now shoot with a 1DIV. I’ve decided to go to the shop tomorrow to check it out. Great! I look forward to hearing about your visit to the shop!

I look forward to hearing about your visit to the shop! I went this afternoon (they're open on Sundays) and the camera was not in a good state. Most rubber seals missing, dents, just looking heavily used. So I didn't buy it. Snifff... Wild Birds of Europe: https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=19371752
