Thanks.
I normally dont like the abstract shot, but this has something about it.

Here is another one, with the 200-600mm and its through a chain link fence as well.

Thanks. I was working on it with the 911 in the Coca Cola livery...so the wavy flowing lines kinda mimic that livery a bit...

I really like that angle you have there, great to be able to be under the cars like that...RA has one spot for that, but you have to be credentialed to get to it and its a really tough shot, almost zero target acquisition time.

Yes, I saw some photos of the 911, so I guessed it was that.

I was standing at the top of a hill and then the ground is above the track. So the trick is to use a long lens and look down the hill.
This shows how high I was above the track.

Some really awesome shots posted today. Guess I'll be the one to throw a monkey wrench into that spree with this.

I've had these Jacquette scalers, No. 2 and 3, for about fifty years now. They are from an old dental instrument cabinet that was emptied out when I was at Pearl Harbor. I used to have a straight one for the anterior teeth too but I've somehow lost it over the years.

gives me the shivers...my bottom front teeth are wonky, and they tend to need more cleaning at the dentist from devices such as those...

At Pearl Harbor, I did nothing but periodontal oral hygiene work for over a year with my own operatory. I even used a cavitron which used ultra-sonic vibrations along with the scalers.

Here's a bts look at my improvised 'light tent' for this shot.

Last month we visited the Falkirk wheel which is a structure that lowers and raises canal boats from two canals which are at different levels. My two friends and their families were there too and are in the video.

All shot with the GoPro

The dentist doesn't bother me. I've only ever gone yearly. Never had a filling & only had 4 teeth out when younger for braces (overcrowding!)

On Saturday morning I had one goal...to go down to the paddock and capture a good morning light image of one of the cars rolling through the paddock...if it could be my favorite car that would have been a huge bonus...just as I was getting to the Porsche North America compound...the car rolled out..I had to run the other direction and almost fall on the ground to get there in time...but I got my shot! I did have to clone out the two strap going to the paddock cart...the car is too loud to drive that early in the morning...and racecars are not good at going slow in the paddock. The 85GM is the perfect paddock walk lens.

Morning Roll
