This guy (Bull Ant, Myrmecia Gratiosa) was protecting his nest in our back yard and was determined to warn me off

I do like these critters
For those that haven't seen them before they get up to 30mm long and have a sting in their tail, so both ends can be painful :-)

A big ant that got in the way of a small ant colony, big time. It sort of went to pieces, literally!
