...Add in 400mm and the keeper rate was lower than optimal!

i suggest that "Keeper Rate" is a meaningless number. What counts is getting a few nice shots like this one. ; )

Thanks!

I agree...I don't worry about it that much...I shoot for me only, so its not like I have a client who needs 50 images...I have me...who likes to get those hard to get ones that stand out...and are int eh style I prefer.

excellent stuff. I made the hillside behind the wash house at turn 5 my base and mainly shot from turn 1 to turn 6. I had my wife with me, so I actually had to sit and enjoy the race for a change. it was kind of nice.

Spectator Hill is a great spot, we shot there Friday and Saturday. We mostly shot the good light and during the hot, bright part of the day hung out at Turn 10 under canopies consuming adult beverages. :-D

About as slow as I can go before they start getting too shaky...I wish the timing had been such that the front of the Mazda DPi had not been tucked behind the GTD car...but he was Making a Move...

Given the disparity in performance, I'd say the Mazda wasn't so much "making a move" as blowing the Porche's doors off!

It looks to me like the Mazda might be painted in a red that some of their road cars have, one that always catches my eye. Gorgeous.

Great shot!

I still call it making a move, both have to play nice together on a fast and tricky section. Might not be for position but could be bad if not done right.

Yeah the color is Ruby Red Crystal or something like that. It is darker and less metallic than the one on the road cars, but it is eye catching.

PLM carries on under one of the most amazing skies I have seen in Georgia in my 20+ years up here in Atlanta.

From the Fox Factory 120 on Friday of the Petit LeMans weekend...good close racing, means chaos in the backgrounds.

Good lord, unless that is an extraordinarily large person in the car, that car is tiny. I’d be afraid to get into it much less drive it at high speed.

He even told you what shutter speed to use!

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.
