I spent time watching this young red as he stalked this Norwegian rat, staying hidden between the phragmites. I watched and positioned myself to stay on the side of the best lI got that I could possibly get. I didn't move until I had lost the light And he devoured every morsel of the much needed meal.

Adult (female I think) Coopers Hawk with a Northern Flicker in caught in my yard. Taken in total shade...not my cup of tea but this hawk was tolerant of my presence.

I watched these two gathering up grubs and it was fascinating.
They took it in turns to have a pick at the grub.
With one there was a bit of a stoush, but this one was very amicable and it was Pass the Grub for a while

This Osprey caught two fish at the same time. I took this photo a the Cove at Concord Park on Fort Loudon lake near Knoxville, TN.
