SWLTR - that is sweet. I would share the ones I took in SW Wyoming from over teh weekend....but all you have to do is close your eyes and rub them and that is about all I got!

Think I am needing a better camera - the Lumiz FZ80 just isn't cutting it!

The Milky Way core reflected in Lake Wivenhoe as it set in the west last night. I've had this shot in mind for a while, so it was nice to be able to capture it last night. Panorama of 9x9 20 second exposures taken with my 6D and Samyang 24mm lens at f/2 and 3200 iso.

Hi all, here is another panorama from last Friday evening. This one was taken a bit earlier than the previous one that I posted above and the reflections were a bit better at this time. The Large and Small Magellanic Clouds (satellite galaxies of the Milky Way) can be seen at the far left.

It's a panorama made from a series of 15 sec exposures with my 6D and Samyang 24mm lens @ f/2 and 3600 iso.

Beautiful. This photo definitely has a mood with the tree and shoreline. I am probably going to regret asking this question, but why do the reflections in the water show more movement than the stars? I should have payed more attention in class!
