Recently I had both species of kinglets and Brown Creepers moving though our property all day long. I've never seen so many at one time; the trees were full of them. And, if I'm lucky, every few years I get a shot of a Winter Wren.

Wow, Al, beautiful - and they weren't even hiding behind branches.

Thank you, Ian. I confess to shooting a heck of a lot of frames on the kinglets just to get a few that were decent. And if there's anything faster than a Ruby-crowned, it would be the Golden-crowned. I really lucked out with the Winter Wren, however. I was all set up, with camera in position, when it popped up just in front of me. Occasionally you win one.

Those are fantastic, the winter wren's pose really captures their personality, not so easy to do with wrens, I am finding out.

Thanks, Randy, for taking the time to comment. And, yes, they are both among the fastest little guys to try to photograph.
