Thank you Mike, they were introduced to the UK from China and have become established following escapes from captivity.
They're often seen in the UK. On my local Reservoir in Cheddar, Somerset there has been a pair for just over 2 years now. Always such a pleasure to see.

I was driving along the side of a pond with tall brush between me & the water's edge, then this fella appeared in a tiny clearing. It's not often that "timing is on my side". Lol!
