New lens day! I sold the Samyang 12/2 and picked up the Touit 12/2.8. Pretty excited! I took it out for a spin. ~3pm light. Was mostly overcast today but I was able to catch a window of decent skies.

More spam from me! ;-)a This time fall colors.

Dude...those are awesome...colors will be much better out of that lens. They have that Zeiss look to them, especially the bridge image. That is an APSC lens right?

Yup....APS-c lens. 67mm filter & 3.46 x 2.68". So still pretty compact. Found it on FM for a really nice price...less than half of the new price (which is absurd IMO. I wouldn't pay that). The colors were the first thing I noticed. They really pop. Very little editing to the colors in these images beyond my import preset. In fact, I dialed back the saturation a tad from normal import.

and that is why I have not been able to part with the Batis 18/25...they have that color pop to them...

A couple more...since Cory asked...;-)a

A friend of mine is the driver of the #23...he won his race Friday morning...one hour 45 minute race..most of the teams did a driver change...he is a solo so he did a double stint...he spun on lap 2...went back to like 10th...had another little off later and still manage to win his race...dude can flat out drive.

The start of the spin...its not a perfect shot..but I like it anyway.

Why do I keep coming back to this thread? GAS is horrible... You guys do some great work, but I just went through all my old shots with my Batis 25 and I want it again. Lol

I was pretty happy to get my Batis 18 back just in time for a trip in about 2 weeks...I don't want to be without either of them...the 18 has such great color rendition, and the 25 has that 3D pop...

How about another whip pan...this one is my favorite...I tried several techniques to get the motion right so that it would work with the livery of this car...it took a couple laps of trying, only get one exposure per lap...

Love the industrial backdrop.
We're looking at schemes for the retirment home and strong industrial is the forefront.
Both of us like hard cold surfaces.

mighty kind of you...thanks...and I am not done but don't want to spam yall too much...some of them I only post over in the motorsports forum.

Spamming here among us friends is not a problem.
I really enjoy the images and know it's not something I'll probably experience. Heck I've not even seen an air show.

I have never done an airshow either...static planes might be cool...but I spend enough time in airplanes already I am not overly drawn to them like some folks. Now...next trip to Death Valley I will go see Star Wars Canyon for sure.
