Not Mo level (Mo is the kind soul who got me up and running in astrophotography) but I'm pleased
to have pulled this one off all on my own :)

A7Riv+RedCat51 on an AVX mount.
I used Celestron StarSense to map the sky and find my target M42 The Orion Nebula.

Bone cold during the shoot. 39F is normally not so cold feeling to me, maybe just not used to it yet.
I shot 25 light frames and 5 days.
DeepSkyStacker did NOT like the a7Riv files. Not one iota. So I used Sequator to stack the frames.
Then processed to taste in PScc.

Important. I popped the Riv into cropper mode....most of these astro stacking programs don't like huge files.

Thanks Lee, Gene. I need the reassurance. It was my first time from scratch beginning to finished product.
The true astrophotographers would pick it apart but I was happy.

The important take away is this. An a6000, a6300, could easily do this shot.
The RedCat is capable, portable, kinda affordable but so small and light. Think, it is no bigger than
a lot of 70-200mm zooms.

That leaves the mount, and the SkyGuiderPro could easily do for this shot too.

Wonderful work Vinz. I'd love to go there but I'm a bit afraid to be honest.

Yeah, just another money pit :) And insanely frustrating weather wise. My next 7 day forecast is rain/cloud/typical gloom.

In Lake Clark NP we'd go out daily on long rides and longer walks and in many environments looking
for the bears. On one trip we looked over about 25 yards to find this young gentleman just starring at us.
I think they are more curious and more tolerant of proximity by humans when young.
