No it's too expensive for me to travel there and all that. I like to go to Imaging USA though, and I might go next year. Maybe.

Yup, my buddy and I are taking the day off. I've been going to PhotoPlus every year since 2014.

There's also a Sony event (external link) nearby we're going to. Tickets are free as well.

Will be going on Thursday.
Train out of Wilmington DE. early in the morning and returning after midnight.
Have been doing this ritual since 2010.
Always look forward to it.

Quite a few empty aisles this year at PhotoPlus.
Three vendors missing this year from last

Sony
ThinkTank
Black Rapid

And my literature bag was lighter as less Printed information was put into hands.

Sony had their own thing down the street. I posted it earlier. It was free and you receive a Be Alpha cap when you leave. The space was pretty tight. So not sure why they did that. Lowepro was also missing. Still enjoyed it though.

Didn't see Godox or MagMod there either.

I did, however, see a few pro's walking the floor:

- Scott Kelby
- Peter Hurley
- Joel Francisco
- Rob Hall
- Brandon Woelfel
- Jessica Kobeissi
- Daniel Norton
- Gavin Hoey
- Vanessa Joy

I too saw Scott Kelby, Peter Hurley, Joel Francisco, Daniel Norton, Vanessa Joy. Also saw Joel Grimes, Manny Ortiz, The Angry Photographer and Jared Polin (whom I took a selfie with LOL).

He gladly obliged. And forgot to mention he was talking to Ted Forbes.

It's always awesome seeing so much talent there. Every year I go I always learn something new.

Did you stop by Canon and see the 1DX MK 3? I think I drooled a little on the booth. And that new RF 70-200? My only gripe is that the extension is external instead of internal with it.

I did not see the 1D Mk III. But I did handle the new RF 70-200. It was pretty heavy considering its size. And speaking of heavy, the Nikon 58mm 0.95 was even heavier!

Yeah (it didn't help they had it mounted to a gripped EOS R) but the weight on both the RF85 and 70-200 surprised me as well.

I had my gripped 5d4 on my side with a 28-70 and the R was only slightly lighter.

I'd guess in keeping with the compactness of mirrorless.
