It certainly has at times. I love the lens but from a composition standpoint you are generally pretty close to whatever you are shooting. On the other hand you get perspectives you could never get otherwise. Stitching maybe, but stitching moving water is a serious PITA. I've done it, but I'm not sure the effort is worth it.
