I'm selling my RX10M4. Interesting situation I have found as a result:
I'm in Australia. The box comes with several mains plugs / cables and the charger is 110V-240V.
The user manual (instruction book actually) has on the first page, at the top right: 4-725-744-11(1).
I downloaded from Sony Australia and Sony USA and both have that same number.
I can't find any differences in the manual, on page 6 they both have the "For USA Customers" section.
So it seems that the cameras are universal, ie 1 version shipped around the world, only the language setting would be set I assume.
But maybe not!
Potential buyer contacted Sony US and was told, (regarding setting camera to NTSC rather than PAL) I Called Sony and when I change it to NTSC each time I turn on the camera it will have two additional steps. One saying you are on NTSC and one saying to format your card for NTSC
I was surprised at this and did some testing:
Sony seems to have given you wrong info.
I just changed to NTSC and got a message "Changing to NTSC requires a reboot". So I turned camera off then on. At startup there is a message "Running in NTSC".
As soon as I hit a button that disappears. I confirmed it was in NTSC and shot a quick movie.
That was with a Sandisk Extreme Plus 32GB 60MB/S card.
I then put in a Sandisk Extreme Pro 128GB 95MB/S card and had the same experience.
The first card was already formatted FAT32 and the 2nd card was already formatted exFAT.
The NTSC message disappears after I half press shutter button, the button in the middle of the control wheel or menu button (it does not go into the menu, just clears the message)
When the camera goes to sleep, the message reappears on wake up and again need to hit a button.
I leave the PWR Save Start Time at 30 minutes, otherwise every time it sleeps the lens retracts then it extends on wakeup.
(I really wished the RX10M4 did not have power zoom)
This info may be of use to someone, curious if anyone has relevant experience. I can't imagine US users get a message on startup about "Running in NTSC" and therefore it seems there would have to be different firmware. Curious, I tried changing the Area Setting to Chicago but not surprisingly that did not change anything (I assumed it was simply for Time Zone).
