I think this is a juvenile. He was a bit far, but the setting seemed unusual and attractive. These are over 50% crops. The 90d sensor has met my expectation in that regard.
Sharp focus, not so much. Hit and miss, I call it.

high speed continuous and single focus point gives me the best results on my 7D2.

those images look pretty good to me.

That mk2 400mm zoom has sure brought out the best of the 7D, when I used to have a 7D i was always told put decent optics on it and it will shine.
