We have a very similar bush in the U.S., called Beauty Berry, in the Verbena family. Would your's be in the same family? Ours is quite a handy little bush. The berries are edible, but don't taste very good, but make a wonderful jelly. I've tried twice, I've never gotten it to jell though. Ended up with a tasty syrup. For a mosquito repellent you can rub the leaves on your skin.

Sorry, but I'm terrible with plant identifications. All I can tell you is that they were growing among wild flowers and plants.

Lotus pods. A little city lake near Clarksville, TX.

Some folks have a fear of holes, called trypophobia. If you belong to that group, I apologize in advance.

Do pine cones count? I was walking around yesterday with the M6 Mark II trying out the EFM 22mm lens (I like the lens a lot I think, seem to be pretty darn sharp). I thought the pine cones were pretty interesting and wanted to check out what the bokeh looked like on the lens.

I didn't realize the Asian Lady Beetle was there until I was reviewing the shots later.
