Note: the EXIF info for my recent images shows "Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS". I'm actually shooting an FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS lens. The POTN gear database needs to be updated.

The Bittern can be right in front of you and sometimes it's a struggle to see it has amazing camourflage as it is completely motionless and when he wants to move he goes for it.
