Here’s one I prepared earlier. Had a few spare parts kicking around, eyeing off a few more cheap ones on the eBay, still cost more than I thought it would :) Alloy frame, with Carbon contact points ie handlebars and seatpost.

Yeah, I’m exceptionally happy with it. I enjoy riding it more than my full carbon 29er XC bike. It’s just a really fun ride. Light, strong & quite reasonably priced for the quality of the componentry really. Bit longer and slacker than the XC bike, but still plenty agile.
