Super nice BIF shots, Rob. Your EOS R certainly handles flight shots nicely. I'm assuming your 1D Xii is still your preferred camera for shooting birds in the air.

The R did very well on my trip. I used it more than the 1dx II actually. The 1dx II is much faster and in some areas the AF is better. More so using the smaller Af areas. When using the Large zone with AF auto switching I think the R does better. I like having the extra MP's too. I think they make a nice combo. I think with a few improvements the R could be amazing. Looking forward to the new 1dx III and the Pro Mirrorless to see what they offer.
