went to see it on my day of Town Liberty from Air Force Basic Training in January 1986. i was surprised at how small it was. i thought it would be quite large, similar to the British Fort Mackinac on Mackinac Island near the Michigan Upper Peninsula...

I went to Palms Casino and chanced upon th ered carpet of AVN (Adult Video Network) "LadyKiller TV features the adult industry’s most popular stars parodying scenes from the most iconic classic horror movies with a hot and steamy twist."

Well just made the move to the A7RIV as i got a massive deal. Big upgrade from an A7RII. Makes the body of the A7RII feel like a toy! Everyone complains about the 61MP but i remember everyone complaining about every R cameras MP lol My computer has had no issue editing. What i am more conscious about is space. I pick and choose when to shoot RAW as no every situation needs it. Landscaper 100% RAW but everything else i can mostly get away with JPEG unless there is a challenging lighting situation. Nothing a quick shortcut button cant fix for quick switching.

Welcome to 61 megapixels, I am so happy with the A7RIV, here is a 16 image pixel shift with Sony 24-105 and an air show with Sony 100-400 mm

Thanks Tony! Great shots! Had a few of my friends say wow 61MP thats a lot good luck with editing those files. Same thing they told me when i got the 7r with 36MP years ago! LOL Had no problems then and havent had any now. My Sigma 35 1.4 sings on the RIV. I was contemplating on going to the 35 1.2 but the extra sharpness across the frame isnt enough for me to commit to the size and weigh of that thing lol.

I have no issues too with the large 61 mega size, even the 16 image pixel shift or ten image panoramas, the 16-35 mm lens non GM is rather soft on the side but still my wide-angle lens

I am looking at the 12-24 and 200-600 but no hurry and the new Tamron, really enjoying it.

Looking forward to Europe trip In January... Cheers

for me I felt the slow down on 36 to 42 but its no deal killer. i still work through them. hope you two are enjoying the new body. the new battery life is awesome and ibis. I very much prefer the a7r's weight and size though. but with added ibis and bigger battery Ill let it go ehhe.

my new camera. i went back to becoming a noinker because I miss shooting with a dslr and the cost is affordable to let it sit and idle. also got the sigmalux to keep the price low. still an amazing lens. after shooting with it along with the a7r3, i'm glad I went mirrorless. the better ergonomics of the dslr is in the past. I enjoy the smaller body. Of course, the bigger body will surely benefit the bigger lenses.

Oooo. The D300 is such a classic camera. In its day it was THE camera to have. I almost went to the dark side for it lol. That’s a killer combo you have.

I got so used to using the A7R that the jump from that to the R4 is two different worlds. The size increase is there but ergonomics are so much better. The grip on the R4 is perfect. Sony doesn’t need to increase that anymore. And the focus speed with the 10 FPS at 61 MP is insane. This is stuff you wouldn’t have dreamed of back then none the less outside of a 1D or D4 ish camera. Every time I say I don’t know how they can make these cameras better they do. Although Sony please fix these damn menus! Lol it’s the only thing I really miss from Canon except for maybe the color profile (Sony has improved skin color profiles over the years).

I love the size of the A7R paired with the Leica M10, I used a small messenger bag to go around, BUT now with the size of the A7RIV, with the GM lenses it is almost as large as a DSLR, had to buy a bigger camera bag to travel...I am keeping the A7R as walk around always in hand camera.

I hear that. Although the RIV is not much bigger as it still fits perfect in my peak design everyday sling 5L. Speaking of I was an early supporter of peak designs tripod on Kickstarter. Ended up pledging for the carbon tripod and should be getting it this month. Looking forward to sharing thoughts. As a precautionary move I also ordered the tripod head mount as I love my Markins Q3. So let’s see how good it turns out.

I carry two cameras and the A7R was slimmer than the A7RIV thus can fit my messenger bag for carry-on, also I added the 24-105 lens and will be bringing sometimes the100-400.
I bought the made in China L bracket with the manfrotto quick release adapter, good for landscape imaging, without spending much.

It is for sure slimmer but the width is almost the same. I rather have the bit of heft as I always worried about how strong the mount was on the original 7R especially with heavier lenses. Being the first gen camera it really feels like a toy now compres the the stronger modern body. The 7RIV still fits perfect in all my bags like the 7R. Guess your bags were very tight already as the depth increase didn’t change the fit in my bags.
