We dont have anything as colourful as Cardinals or blue jays, maybe the odd robin. Thats one of the good thing about this forum, seeing sights from other parts of the world.

There was a Cardinal that used to perch on the window of old office at my last job. The damn thing would always peck at my window and it was really annoying...I think because the glass is reflective and it would see itself. Anyway, I never caught a photo of it!

Nice! I like the different bokeh these old lenses give. Is this a Russian lens?

As much as we love the 100400 and 200600 there are times (which increase with age) that I want lighter/smaller.
So today I worked with the E70-350G on the Riv.

Awesome. Without the usual stadium/crowds background, these almost look like they're staged in a studio somewhere.

I'll bet you could get great bird shots even using a Brownie.

Exactly! Enzo is a very fast, mostly Red Heeler mix. The name fits him well.

Guarding the tree? I'd say he's just graciously posing. He doesn't have the look of Cerberus :-P

A7Riv's cropping ability is amazing to me. I believe that is why it is destined to be one
of the great wildlife/bierding bodies.....when you get used to its nuances of which it has several.
I shot with two 'togs at Conowingo, each had two Riv's. Tells me something :)

But here in the backyard I can enjoy the extreme cropabilty of the Riv. I doubt any who read this forum
are new to photography...but if so, and if curious about the Riv consider this. It has a greater pixel density
(7.18 mp/cm^2) than even the Nikon D850 (5.32 mp/cm^2).

Here is how that translates to the real world, and when going from FF to cropper (these were shot in crop mode)
the pixel density does not change.

Using the E70-350G at 186 mm for 279 mm effective.
