Interesting building! What is this building, and what is the city?

Yes, I thought it was quite interesting and uniquely designed. It is an apartment building on Venetian Causeway that connects downtown Miami and Miami South Beach.

Always see it from this angle, but one day I need to check it out from the front (non waterside), as it appears to be stepped in front of building from the angle I photographed it.

Cool shot!!

Thanks. The key seems to be to use a relatively slow shutter, take a huge number of shots, and a few of them will work out. I have to try more of these. I kinda like it.

I was having a hard time getting a Ferris wheel shot I liked. Finally, I took a long exposure and then a short exposure, and blended them as layers:

I've been wanting to 'win' one of those for so long.

My first night in Brazil - 1/4

After a 20-hour trip airport to airport, dinner, and a bit of relaxation, I was looking forward to some sleep. However, my host for the night decided that I should do some sightseeing. We went to see the old downtown of São Luís, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its old Portuguese colonial architecture.

My first night in Brazil - 2/4

We drove some distance from São Luís to São José de Ribamar, named after the patron saint of the Maranhão State. This is his church.
