Dec 18, 2019 18:45 | #10019 That is a compelling picture, and I am trying to cipher why. Perhaps it's the contrast between the smooth paper and the texture of the hands and the contrast between the white paper and black robe. Whatever the reason, it's an excellent photograph.

OhLook insufferably pedantic. Perhaps it's the contrast between the smooth paper and the texture of the hands and the contrast between the white paper and black robe. Whatever the reason, it's an excellent photograph. Another thing: it's heavy with mystery. The wrists disappear into sleeves (we see just a bit of sleeve interior), nothing of the figure is shown beyond hands, and the writing can't be read by most members of a Western audience. PRONOUN ADVISORY: OhLook is a she. | A FEW CORRECT SPELLINGS: lens, aperture, amateur, hobbyist, per se, raccoon, whoa | Comments welcome
