Inspeqtor I am 5-6 days late ![]() More info | Dec 17, 2019 05:50 | #17276 nardes wrote in post #18976291 ![]() Hi Charles This guy was only approx. 70-75 cms long (27-30 ins) so not fully grown and you would not (should not!) attempt to handle them unless you are experienced (=grab them by the tail) as they do have a bit of a nasty bite with a bacteria laden mouth. He uses the long, sharp claws to very effectively climb trees, where he can locate the eggs of nesting birds, or even catch small Possums. I caught him in our pool net, at the end of a long handle and then took him to our lower garden where I release him, so he wouldn't jump back in the pool. ![]() I think he lives under our house as we often see him crawling out between the battens before he goes walkabout and he leaves his tail dragging imprint in the loose dirt. ![]() Cheers Dennis How big will he get when he is fully grown? How will you deal with him then when he gets into your pool???? He sounds big enough now! Charles
