Eastern bluebird in early light

I had a real predicament this morning with my socks that kept sliding down to my toes while wearing wellies. It always happens, I've tried thick pairs, 2 pairs at the same time, different materials. I walked for miles being so uncomfortable. It was worth it though because I found the White-Throated Dipper, and what a cracking bird he is.

Here is one of my favorites from the trip. This was a bird I really wanted to see. It was a first for us. A big thanks to Amy for driving the car and allowing me to get shots like this. I seen it a few times but at a far distance. The one allowed me to walk towards it, I went slow and low to get closer. It had some beautiful early morning light.

Try going sockless. It will either cure the problem or make you appreciate socks around your toes. As always, your photo is excellent. even if I seldom comment.

I would say it was worth it as well. Love these little guys.

I'm assuming you don't tuck your pants into your socks? If not, give that a try. If your regular pants are too thick to tuck, wear a base layer (long underwear) and tuck those into your socks.
