I've used flickr to host files for over a decade now and have had a pro account for most of that time....but I've never thought to use it as a cloud storage system for my photos. I gave uploadr a try for the first time and I have to say that it basically does everything I'd want a photo platform to do. It automatically syncs photos from directories I choose, automatically creates albums based on the directories they're stored in, and of course, stores everything at full resolution with the option to share at lower resolutions as we all do now. The files are uploaded in private so your public feed isn't bombarded with photos that are less than your best work. You can go in and set the photos you do want to display to public as needed.
Google drive with google photos integration is nice, but I think I've circled back to flickr.
My only issue is the uncertainty about the future of flickr and the issues that are currently plaguing the app so I'll probably keep my google drive account active just in case (I use it to host full resoultion files for clients anyway). I think flickr pro has a lot of potential as we move into this cloud based world. Just that smugmugs execution, communication, and marketing aren't there. There's no clear vision of what flickr is supposed to be.
