We are in Central Florida, Gulf side. Lots of holding ponds and lakes, plus the shores of the Manatee River. Dozens of Sandhills walking around The Wrinkle Ranch, just like they own the place. I do believe that is a "mating dance".

I really like this picture!! Great job!

When I saw this picture, I was thinking that if I had seen that log laying on the ground I suspect I would have walked away and not taken a picture like you did.

Job well done!!!

Thank you Charles!! The Tamron's minimum focus distance of 1.5ft @200mm helps a lot!

Very cool shot. I have them in my neighborhood, once in a while a couple of them will stroll right up to my front door!!

My cat said, "I love you this much!"

Can you guess which one flinched first: The crow or the squirrel?

Birds and squirrels are regulars at the feeding station in my backyard where I put nuts and seeds on the fence rail. The way they sort themselves out, squirrels take priority, even over crows. After that, it goes by size, bigger birds first. So I'm guessing the crow yielded.

Richard,

Did you not see the 2nd picture with the picture of a squirrel and the crow?

Go back and look again!

Charles, I thought Richard meant he saw the picture and he has no idea which creature "won."
