A rare thick blanket of snow fell in Joshua Tree National Park during Christmas. I could not pass up the opportunity to go photograph some of the scenery this past Saturday.

With this image, I was also able to capture the Moon and Venus conjunction.

WOW! I had no idea it would ever snow that much there...I have seen images of dustings...but dang, that is some special conditions !

Crazy indeed, but I really like the image. I like how the larger building almost rises above it and like the contrast between the foreground and background of the image. Nice shot.
