Another with the mini toy camera setting. I'm liking it. SOOC.

Capture One on an iMac.

There is a lot to be said for tethered.

What are your computer specs? I am trying to spec out a laptop to use with my GFX to shoot tethered on location.

What I have gathered so far is that RAM and USB 3.0 are the most important for fast transfers.

Do any of you shoot tethered?

If so, what are you using for a computer/tablet solution?

I've got a surface pro I've used a few times.

Nothing spectacular. 7th gen i5 and 8GB RAM with Capture One Pro Fuji.

Does it work fine for tethering? How long does it take an image to show up after shooting?

Still using my 2012 retina, only on it's second battery. It's an 2.6Ghz i7 with 16Gb and 500gb ssd, the GT650 graphics. It's fine for editing images on but I don't use it for anything serious anymore as I have the iMac for that. In the field, for my use, it's perfect still, as all I need it to do it work as a monitor for capture and for digiing the files. The GFX100 raw files take a little time to appear (render) but I have a workaround for that getting only the JPEG imported while tethered and saving the raws for editing on the iMac in the studio.

Trying out the $145 7Artisans 35mm F1.2 for Fuji X mount. I was about to get the Fuji 35 F2 WR. I was sure. Then, I just couldn't help but look at the Rok 35 F1.2, the SpeedMaster 35 F0.95 and the Fuji 35 F2 WR and then... the price of the 7Artisans 35 F1.2. Ugh. I caved. I couldn't find a reason to get an autofocus lens for what I do with short lenses. Plus, it's so tiny. I'm sure it has compromises in build quality, glass quality, coatings and likely has some CA, but I shot with it a bit today just to see how the glass renders and it was actually quite decent. I had literally zero expectations for a $145 lens that was F1.2, figuring it would be very soft wide open and full of CA. It is a little soft. It does have some CA. But it's otherwise acceptable so far. I needed something to fill the gap between my 21mm F1.4 and 50mm F1.2 as I favor the 50, but always want something a hair wider, but still fast. The 21 is almost too wide sometimes when I'm out with the family or with guests. So the 35 filled that gap. I'm happy with it, so far, for the cost. It's definitely not a super lens. But it's quite interesting for its cost. Time will tell! I may still get a 35 F2 WR eventually... I'm just so dang cheap I guess.

Very best,

It's a decent little lens, I use mine on occasion. It's definitely better stopped down a little bit. I will say though that it's the weakest of all the 7artisans lenses I have... the 25mm is surprisingly good since it's even cheaper, and the 55mm is very nice at close to medium focal distances, all of them suffer at longer focal distances.

I loved the 7Artisans 35mm f/1.2 when I had it... The only thing I didn't like was the de-clicked aperture ring... It renders amazingly...

The biggest factor is using a local SSD for capture rather than a HDD.

Shot some video, eh sorry - cinematic footage - for Ross just before the holidays and today is grading day as we did the cut list during the week, my planned time off didn't happen as it turns out. Oh well, the perks of working for your self at times.
Really do love the output of these little cameras in 4K, ended up using four cameras on the night, two static (one in the gods and one super wide at the back) and then one tight on RB and then one on a gimbal doing the 75ยบ up close. Loads more to do but only having to do two of the set so that's not so bad.

Any real world users that have had their hands on the X-T30 and X-T3? In your experience, would you hesitate to buy 1 over the other? Since I don't do video, that's not a deciding factor for me personally. I'd love to hear Fuji users' reviews on these 2 models. Thanks!
